LAUNCHED!

5 11 2007

So we finally launched today with a pretty successful (I would say) press conference. The network behaved great, the site behaved great, eyeTour.com content looked damn good and the camera we were lent was a nice bonus. We make an awesome team and everybody did a great job in getting the network up for the proposed date. I mean six months from proposal to completion with the construction, topography and other such obstacles is pretty dang impressive when you consider how other WiFi projects have recently fared. It’s great that Coors had some real vision beyond their standard operating box and got on board with sponsoring this whole thing!

The Puerto Rico media is already covering us pretty well, Noticentro did a cute lil retrospect of how people used to watch TV collectively in the Old San Juan plazas which I thought was cool. I’m gonna use this blog as a sort of Press Release so the tech and US media can get some decent info right here. I mean besides us being happy about providing a great service to Old San Juan, this is real news for the industry. Larger better established companies are dumping WiFi projects left and right after (in some cases) years of negotiations, and in only 6 months we do the whole thing privately.

If you’re reading this, consider yourself part of a news outlet of any sort, and find this story interesting enough to cover but need more details, read the about the network tab, or feel free to contact:
